TheDMP40isespeciallysuitableforhighprecisioncomparativemeasurementsofmechanicalquantitiessuchasforce,mass,torqueandpressure.OneexampleofthisisthemeasurementsperformedbytheNationalMetrologicalOrganisationslikethePTB(GermanMetrologyInstitute).Inthisfieldofapplicationtheprecedingmodel(DMP39)hasalreadybeenemployedasareferenceinstrumentthroughouttheworld.
