More power for the 9400 Servo Drives: with the expansion of the new series of controllers, Lenze now covers the power range from 0.37 to 370 kW, while also extending the drive-based safety functions. Examples of this are Safely Limited Speed (SLS) and Safe Stop 1 and 2 (SS1, SS2) in accordance with EN 954-1 category 3. Secure, two-channel inputs and outputs and also PROFIsafe are available as interfaces for communication with a safety PLC. There are pluggable modules for ETHERNET Powerlink and PROFINET for use in realtime Ethernet. The 9400 Servo Drives are available as single-axis and multi-axis controllers with central feed.
In many applications, drives must run with angular synchronism to a master drive at a fixed speed. A typical example is a printing press. Angular misalignment of the drives would lead to undesirable shifts in individual inks. To prevent this, the 9400 Servo Drives have special controller elements to ensure specific synchronism. These reduce the angular misalignment over the master drive by a factor of five when compared with standard solutions. Furthermore, high resolution in conjunction with acceleration forward control leads to super precise motor control. It allows the drive to react more rapidly and reduces following errors.
A generic drive interface complying with IEC 61800-7-2, the DS402 standardised equipment profile, is one of the features contributing to good usabilty. Connected control systems can immediately detect which controller is linked to them. This leads to quicker, safer commissioning that is easier to implement.[/COLOR]
